Department of Anatomy comprises well equipped museum, histology laboratory and dissection hall.
Museum contains human torso full size male & female as well as human torso half size male & female. 63 models including those of embryology, gross anatomy especially of head & neck are kept. Bones comprise 2 mounted skeletons, and loose bones of the whole body, including articulated hands, feet and plexus. Total skulls are 16 in number, and loose bony of the skull are 6 each. Histology laboratory contains 30 monocular and 5 binocular microscopes. Equipment for slide, preparation is also these. Histology slides are of all different fissures and are about 500 in number. Attempt is being male to replace the old slides.
There are 15 dissection tables. The dissection is being done by the students under the able guidance of their teachers and all of them are shown the dissected specimens in batches. The highlight of dissection is the preparation of CD of the dissection being done. Sofar CDs of Head & Neck, Thorax abdomen and upper and lower limbs have been prepared. Lectures in Anatomy are being taken regularly using advanced teaching technology whenever required. The teachers take the demonstrations on regular basis, their drawing files are corrected. Stage viva, theory tests and term examinations are being conducted.
